Manfred Ulz

I did my Master and PhD thesis at the Graz University of Technology. I graduated in 2009 in the field of finite thermo-plasticity using an additive approach.

After a post-doc year at the University of California at Berkeley, I joined the Institute of Strength of Materials at Graz University of Technology.

In 2016 I completed my habilitation in the field of "mechanics", working on atomistic-on-continuum multiscale models.

My research currently focuses on (i) multiscale analysis coupling continuum mechanics with atomistic simulations, (ii) paper mechanics, and (iii) phenomenological plasticity including plastic spin. For more details see the publication list in my CV.
