Multiscale Modelling - From Quantum Effects to Material Properties at the Nanoscale

Institute of Experimental Physics, Graz University of Technology, Feb 4-7 2018

This workshop on Multiscale Modelling is part of the EU COST action "Molecules in Motion" and is intended to bring together experimentalists and theoreticians from atomic, molecular and cluster physics, chemical engineering and computational chemistry, who share an interest in the question how quantum effects in finite systems can translate into useful properties of nanomaterials for future applications.

The meeting will take place in Graz, Austria, at the Institute of Experimental Physics (Petersgasse 16, 8010 Graz). It will start on the 5th of February in the morning and end on Wednesday, the 7th of Februrary before lunch.

Reception will be open already on Sunday, the 4th of February, from 7 to 9 pm. The workshop venue will be the Institute of Experimental Physics and a nearby lecture hall. Speakers are encouraged to bring junior collaborators for poster presentations or short oral contributions. Please indicate your type of contribution during online registration.

Presentation time is 30 minutes (25+5 min) for invited talks and 15 minutes (12+3 min) for contributed talks. Additionally, a poster session is planned for Tuesday afternoon. The poster format has to be A1 (594 mm wide x 841 mm height). Material to fix your poster like adhesive tape or pins will be provided.

Registration

There will be no registration fee, but registration via this google form is needed. Please, fill in your details before the 31st December 2017. The number of participants is limited to 40. For uploading your contribution, please use either this Word or LaTeX template.
