Manfred Ulz

I did my master and PhD thesis at the Graz University of Technology. In 2009 I graduated in the field of finite thermo-plasticity employing an additive approach.

After a post-doc year at the University of California at Berkeley I joined the Institute for Strength of Materials, Graz University of Technology.

In 2016 I completed my habilitation in the field "mechanics" working on atomistic-on-continuum multiscale models.

My research currently focuses on (i) multiscale analysis coupling continuum mechanics with atomistic simulations, (ii) paper mechanics and (iii) phenomenological plasticity including the plastic spin. For more details see the list of publications in my CV.
