Thomas LainerPost-Doc |
Thomas obtained his undergraduate degree in the Working group of Prof. Stüger in 2016. After accomplishing the Master's program "Technical Chemistry" with the Thesis: Partial Chlorinated Hydrosilanes, he started his PhD in 2019. The aim of his PhD was the synthesis and characterisation of low valent polysilanes with unusual structures. In 2022 Thomas started his Post-Doc in the working group of Prof. Haas with the main focus on hydrosilanes and new photoinitiator systems. |
Nilanjana SenPost-Doc |
Nilanjana obtained her PhD degree in 2024 in Dr. Khan`s group from IISER Pune, India. After completing the PhD program with the thesis title: Syntheses, reactivity and catalytic applications of low valent compounds with p-block elements she joined our group as a post-doctoral fellow in 2024. Her research mainly aims at the reactivities and catalytic applications of the heavier group 14 β-diketonates.. |
Madeleine HeurixPh.D. Student |
Madeleine completed her bachelor`s thesis in the Haas Group in 2022. In her master thesis she focused on "Monogermane as Feedstock for Oligohydrogermanes and Silylgermanes", which she passed with flying colors. Now she is doing her PhD in the group. Her doctoral research, conducted in the framework of the Christian Doppler (CD) Laboratory, aims at the synthesis and characterization of hydrosilylgermanes. Moreover, she will use them as precursors for various deposition techniques. |
Matthias ParisPh.D. Student |
Matthias obtained his undergraduate degree in the Haas Group in 2021. Since then he completed his Master's degree "Technical Chemistry" with the thesis "N-Heterocyclic Carbene functionalized Acylgermanes and related Derivatives" in 2024. Now he is doing his PhD in the group. His doctoral research, conducted in the framework of the Christian Doppler (CD) Laboratory, aims at the synthesis and characterization of functionalized hydrosilanes. Moreover, he will use them as precursors for various deposition techniques. |
Daniel GrießPh.D. Student |
Daniel obtained his undergraduate degree in the working group of Prof. Breinbauer in 2020. After completing the Master's program "Chemistry" with the Thesis "Synthesis of bicyclic precursors and trapping of cyclic allenes and alkynes", at the Institute of Organic Chemistry in April 2024, he joined the Haas Group to do a PhD. His doctoral research, conducted in the framework of the Christian Doppler (CD) Laboratory, aims at the synthesis and characterization of functionalized hydrosilanes. Moreover, he will use them as precursors for various deposition techniques. |
André CulumPh.D. Student |
André earned his Bachelor`s degree from the University of Novi Sad in 2016, where he worked on the synthesis of organometallic anabolic steroid analogues. In 2023, he completed his Master`s thesis at TU Graz under the supervision of Prof. Tanja Wrodnigg, focusing on carbohydrate synthesis with an emphasis on Imino- and Isoiminosugars. He is now pursuing his Ph.D. in the Haas group, where his research is centered on developing bioorthogonal Germanium-based photoinitiators. |
